Does intent really matter anymore?

This article is fascinating. Yes, we should consider that no one intends to hurt others. But they do. I did.  I didn’t mean to. I wanted to make the community better and get some help.  There are still consequences. People felt hurt. Some thought I had bad intent. Or other intentions.  I didn’t get to control the narrative. Many voices were at play.I think the best way to go is to listen and try to change your behavior or words for next time, if possible. I sure learned a lot but didn’t feel like I”d ever get a second chance. I just left that place but am more cautious now.

About CJ

I was a Spanish teacher for 5 years in the Public School system in 3 different states. I homeschooled and taught at a democratic free school. I heard about cohousing in 2010 and wanted to move in right away. I met a group building one in 2018 and got to move in the summer of 2019. It only took a year to want out.
