Lock your doors or you will have a drive by fruiting

On Lake Wobegon, Garrison Keller says they never lock their car doors EXCEPT in the summer because someone may leave a zucchini in your car.  Such is the bounty of the gardens. Well, for me, I will keep my car doors open because I love garden vegies (especially tomatoes) and have the opposite of a green thumb.

I was looking forward to sharing the summer garden bounty at cohousing but I had to run away just as harvest came to be.  So I was happily surprised when I found some green peppers and a cucumber at my condo door. I am so pleased that I”m still in a community where you

may be gifted kindness and garden goods.

About CJ

I was a Spanish teacher for 5 years in the Public School system in 3 different states. I homeschooled and taught at a democratic free school. I heard about cohousing in 2010 and wanted to move in right away. I met a group building one in 2018 and got to move in the summer of 2019. It only took a year to want out.
