I need a hero

Why is it hard to speak up? Why is it hard to protect those vulnerable? I think it is even more difficult in cohousing or intentional communities because you don’t want to be wrong – falsely accuse someone, suspect something terrible and then find out it wasn’t correct. But it’s always best, in my opinion, to err on caution. At least to protect the vulnerable – who can’t protect themselves. I know that’s what I would want for people to do for my children or for me when I’m a vulnerable elder some day.

Why is it so hard to be a hero in today’s world?

About CJ

I was a Spanish teacher for 5 years in the Public School system in 3 different states. I homeschooled and taught at a democratic free school. I heard about cohousing in 2010 and wanted to move in right away. I met a group building one in 2018 and got to move in the summer of 2019. It only took a year to want out.
