abuse in cohousing

Here is an article about the silent treatment. I understand someone needing time to cool off and process, but now I understand my feelings – silent treatment is a form of abuse that most don’t know to call it that.

I didn’t expect it at all in cohousing. I thought we would work through conflicts. Deal with the hard emotions. Find solutions together. All mistakes, and all figure it out how to heal. I am starting to see patterns of certain individuals and still can’t believe others didn’t speak out. However, no matter who or where you live, in intentional communities you have the chance to make the place what you want it to be. So, let this article help to stop shunning and silent treatments or at least call it for what it is – abusive.
