Today is special. I love Groundhog’s day ever since I taught about it at a free school years ago. Such a crazy holiday. So, thinking of this day where we honor the groundhog I think about the groundhog at my cohousing community. I could watch her from the window and I named her. I didn’t ask permission. I was tired of all the group meetings over deciding everything by 5 months in that I took the initiative. I was tired of suggesting a movie night and then having 10 opinions about it and it didn’t happen. So I named her. She was mine (well not really, but the name). I was correct – she was a female since she soon had a pup. I also named the pup. So, here is to my groundhog! The only neighbor I miss from cohousing!!!!
